The carat-stretching oval — a smart choice

An oval brilliant gives you more visual size for the same carat weight. A well-cut 1.00ct oval looks closer to a 1.20ct round on the finger, partly because of the elongated outline and partly because oval cuts have a larger top-surface ("table") than rounds. The Marina pairs that optical advantage with a slim four- or six-claw setting that frames the stone without competing with it.

What we look for in an oval

Cut matters more on ovals than on any other shape. We grade for a clean centre with no "bow-tie" shadow, length-to-width between 1.35 and 1.50 (the most flattering proportions on most hands), and a symmetrical outline. We'll show you stones that meet these standards before you commit.

Customisation

Available in 9K, 18K white/yellow/rose gold, and platinum. Add a pavé band, a hidden halo, or an east-west orientation — speak to us and we'll mock it up in CAD before any metal is cut.
